JAGANNATH BALLABH
Hey folks , we are up with the new recipe. Another sweet of the Chappan Bhog , a delicious delight . "Jagannath Ballabh" .
Let's start the recipe of Jagannath Ballabh by looking onto the ingredients needed:
- 1/2 cup desi ghee / butter
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cardamom
- 3 cloves
- 1 pinch of nutmeg powder
Without a further do let's start the recipe!
Step-1: Take a pan and add Ghee on low flame .
Step-2: After the Ghee melts , add wheat flour to it and roast it until the color changes to golden brown . Keep stirring continuously to avoid over-roasting which may results in bitter test .
Step-3: In another pan , take sugar and 1/2 cup water , mix it well till the sugar is completely dissolved in the water
Step-4: Meanwhile , take cardamom , clove , and nutmeg and grind into a powder .
Step-5: After the sugar is dissolved , add the powder and mix it well, let the syrup get cooked for a while until a string consistency appears.
Step-6: Now add the roasted wheat flout to the syrup and constantly stir it till the mixture get thickened .
Step-7: After 2-3 mins , the mixture is thickened , turn off the stove .
Step-8: Greece a plate with Ghee or Butter and transfer the mixture into it and flatten the mixture with a spatula.
Step-9: Let it set for 5-7 mins and then cut it into squared shaped pieces .
Now your Jagannath Ballabh is ready to dive in .
